The Salve That Started It All

Nerve Comfort Salve has a special place at Lolli & Pop Shoppe because it grew out of something personal.

“I began exploring herbs, infused oils, and essential oils while looking for additional ways to care for someone I love who lives with ongoing physical discomfort.. That search led me deeper into herbal preparations, traditional uses of plants, essential oils, and formulation—and eventually to this salve.

At the heart of every tin is St. John’s Wort that I grow, handpick, and infuse myself. I harvest the plant and create the herbal oil that becomes the foundation of every batch, rather than starting with a commercially prepared St. John’s Wort oil.

That deeply infused botanical oil is combined with beeswax and a concentrated blend of warming, cooling, herbaceous, and resinous botanicals. It’s an intentionally complex formula, developed and refined over time to create the distinctive warming-and-cooling experience that sets this salve apart.

This is where Lolli & Pop Shoppe began for me: with a reason to learn, plants I wanted to understand, and a formula I cared enough about to keep working on. Years later, it remains one of the products that means the most to me—and one I still make from the plant up, in small batches, with the same hands-on care.

Salve: Massage a small amount onto the desired area as needed. This is a concentrated botanical formula, so start with a small amount. For external use only. Apply only to intact skin and wash hands after use. Avoid contact with eyes and other sensitive areas.

Targeted Roller: Roll a small amount directly onto the desired area and gently massage in if desired. The roller makes it easy to use the aromatic blend precisely and conveniently throughout the day.

Using the Set: The salve and roller are two different formulas rather than the same blend in different forms. Use whichever format suits the moment, or keep the salve at home and the roller handy for convenient targeted application.

Peppermint + Wintergreen
Bring the distinctly fresh, cooling sensation that gives the salve its immediate sensory character.

Ginger, Black Pepper, Clove + Cinnamon Leaf
A warming, spicy combination that provides contrast to the cooling botanicals and contributes to the salve's characteristic warming-and-cooling feel.

German Chamomile, Marjoram, Thyme ct. Linalool + Helichrysum

The centerpiece of the roller blend. A member of the ginger family with a distinctive fresh, spicy-herbaceous aroma and a long history of use in traditional Thai topical and massage preparations.

Sweet Marjoram
Adds a warm, herbaceous note that softens and rounds out the aromatic blend.

Black Pepper
Contributes warmth and spice, complementing the character of Plai.

Geranium
Adds a softer green-floral note that balances the warmer, spicier botanicals.
